Pz.Kpfw. V/IV - 3 Marks of Excellence

Done in 59 battles. One of the earliest vehicles in the game, it was available in the gift shop during the very early days of WoT but was never sold in store or given out ever since. A Pz. IV's turret mounted on a Panther I's chassis enables the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV to be a semi-durable vehicle against low caliber guns and a serious battering ram against other MTs and TDs. Side-scraping techniques work especially well in the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV as the upper side plates are angled and has small amounts of spaced armour to cover the tracks. Angling the frontal armour also works well, however medium caliber guns pose no problems in penetrating the armour. The hull is quite durable but the turret lacks all round armour, the spaced armour on the turret does not benefit the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV much. The view range is especially great and could exceed 460m with the standard equipment layout. Although the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV lacks camouflage, it has great manoeuvrability and flexibility to compensate for this weakness. The main gun is comparable to most standard German medium caliber guns, with a slight improvement on rate of fire. Gun stabilisation and aim time is above average, however shells have decent penetration and poor shell velocity so it tends to fall to the ground when travelling far distances. Therefore APCR shells are extremely mandatory in the majority of situations. The Pz.Kpfw. V/IV has an abundance of ammunition so it can shoot blindly at common bushes many times without worrying too much about the shell count. The Pz.Kpfw. V/IV is to be played more actively than it's counterpart designations and it is a good vehicle to train necessary skill sets for the E 50 M medium tank line.
