SU-130PM - 3 Marks of Excellence

It was delayed by nearly half a year, the SU-130PM has high standards at 3000 damage for the 3rd mark. The SU-130PM has outstanding camouflage values, damage per shot, and gun elevation angles. The SU-130PM also has a limited traversable turret, like the T28 Prototype. This leaves the SU-130PM with a disadvantageous close combat capability compared to the Skorpion. The SU-130PM catches on fire very easily when the frontal hull armour is hit, coupled with a small pool of HP and nearly zero armour everywhere, has overall poor survivability and is a fragile vehicle. With an underpowered engine, the SU-130PM has terrible acceleration and does not keep up at its top speed of 60 km/h on flat ground and overall speed is therefore somewhat underwhelming. Hull traverse speed is decently quick, so it is recommended to rotate the hull and turret for greater gun traverse speed. The gun has very respectable gun depression angles and traverse speed, it also has excellent strike potential with 520 damage per shot and great armour penetration values with both AP and HEAT shells. Average gun stabilisation and somewhat decent aim time and accuracy makes the Enhanced Gun Laying Drive a compulsory equipment. DPM (Damage Per Minute) is not the best, so it can’t be too aggressive with damage farming. The SU-130PM can use hull up techniques to position the gun higher above the ground due to extreme gun elevation angles like the WT Pz. IV, however the WT Pz. IV is better at hull up techniques because the gun is located all the way to the rear whereas the gun of the SU-130PM is located in the middle of the hull. View range can reach 445m with the standard equipment and crew skills (without binoculars). This is beneficial for the SU-130PM, a TD that requires a lot of repositioning. With great camouflage values and spotting ability, the SU-130PM can use passive scouting techniques and aggressive flanking strategies when necessary. The SU-130PM is a slightly competitive TD that comfortably maintains the 2nd and 3rd line of defense. Overall the SU-130PM is a dangerous TD at peek-a-boo tactics, coping with MT groups and sniping from long ranges. Easy TD to use but not easy to get the final mark of excellence.
